'Existenz' Extensions
Visually inspired by Cronenberg’s movie ‘Existenz’, conceptually by José Gil’s book ‘Metamorfoses do corpo’ (Body Metamorphoses) and Peggy Phelan’s book ‘Unmarked-the politics of performance’. ‘Existenz’ Extensions project is obviously a development from Wallskin. Where before the body was transubstantiated on the surfaces of the walls in residual fragments, now it is implanted as extensions on the surface of the skin.
These residual organs were sewn to the skin of a host, attached to him as a new limb, as an extension of his bodily existence.
